Hi All,

It's been a minute since we put out our last Newsletter...

We really do hope that Winter is finally coming to an end and that

Punxsutawney Phil got it wrong!!!

We are so over being cold!...

When you have to fire the kiln to keep the Studio warm,

you know there's a slight problem!!

BEGINNING STAINED GLASS: COPPER FOIL TECHNIQUE

4-week class (once a week for 3 hours) 

(2 different sessions)

Cost: $125

Date: March 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th

(Wednesdays)

Time: 10a-1p

Date: March 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th

​​​​Learn the basic concepts of stained glass using the copper foil technique.


In this 4-day class you will gain an understanding of basic stained glass tools and learn simple techniques to complete your first project. You will learn how to cut glass, prepare your pieces and assemble your project using the copper foil technique. Once it is assembled, you will also learn to finish, clean and patina your project. 


  • Use of tools, chemicals and all glass are included in price (Also, you get to keep; a standard steel-wheel glass cutter, exacto type knife, fid and safety glasses)


Each student will walk away with a completed panel! 



  • No experience is required. 
  • CALL TO MAKE RESERVATIONS
  • Limited to 3 Students. We need at least 2 students to hold class.

INTRODUCTION TO FUSED GLASS

3-Week Class

(1 for 3 hours, 2 for 2 hours)

Cost: $150

Date: April 4th, 11th & 25th

(Saturdays)

Time: 10a-1p (First class)

10a-12p (Last 2 classes)


Glass fusing is an exciting and liberating glass art which enables artists to create glass designs by fusing compatible glass pieces together in a kiln. In this class students will create a one-of-a-kind project. You will pick your mold from the molds here in the studio and create your project based on the size and shape of this mold. In addition we will examine various finished projects and discuss how they were made. Students will learn basic glass cutting and shaping skills; cleaning and layering techniques, and some basic kiln programming.


  • Previous glass fusing experience is not required. Basic Cutting will be taught. 
  • Includes rental of tools, and fusing fees for class projects. 
  • Students will need to purchase glass from the studio for their projects. No glass purchased outside of the studio is allowed in our fusing classes.      
  • Limited to 3 Students. We need at least 2 students to hold class.

INTERMEDIATE STAINED GLASS: LEAD TECHNIQUE

5 - Week Class

(once a week for 3 hours each)

Cost: $150 

Date: April 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th

(Wednesdays)

​​Time: 10a-1p


Construct an elegant window with lead channel (or came). Learn the complete lead came process, from basic construction and cementing to tips on design, reinforcement and installation.

 

Prerequisite:

  • Beginning Stained Glass (or proof of BSG and glass cutting skills) is required. We will not be teaching cutting skills!


Needed for Class:

  • Bring your existing tools: Glass cutter, soldering iron, breaking tools etc. (We will have a very limited number of tools to lend out)
  • Glass, bevels, jewels, rondels and any other glass related items, you want to use in your project (Must be purchased from us)


  • We only supply pattern, lead and finishing materials. (If possible, please come to the studio before class to pick out pattern and glass)



  • Limited to 3 Students. We need at least 2 students to hold class.
