October 16, 2020, Calabasas, CA, USA — The Bio Supply Management Alliance (BSMA) has appointed Andrew Setikas, the Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at the California Life Sciences Association (CLSA), to serve on its Board of Advisors to advance innovation in Life Sciences through education, technology and collaboration in the global marketplace.

Devendra Mishra, Executive Director of BSMA, observed, “I have known Mr. Andrew Setikas as a chemist who had an extraordinary career of growth in biopharma businesses and currently representing CLSA, a premiere association for advocacy in life sciences in California. His leadership augurs well for collaborative advancement of education and membership services to foster innovation in maximizing healthcare.”

Since March 2019, Andrew Setikas has led business development, membership, partnership, and strategy activities for CLSA. He brings over two decades of commercial experience across a variety of market segments and geographies. Andrew joined CLSA from Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he spent 12 years and most recently served as Senior Director of Business Development, leading a group focused on establishing and growing partnerships in the biotechnology, government and academic sectors across Thermo Fisher’s entire portfolio of products and services. Andrew brings commercial, marketing, program, product and regulatory management experience in all areas of the life sciences and prior to Thermo Fisher spent time in both domestic and international roles at Roquette Frères, Adhesives Research Inc, and FMC Corporation where he began his professional career in analytical chemistry and toxicology.  He received his MBA from the University of San Francisco, and dual Bachelor degree’s in Chemistry and Environmental Sciences from Rutgers University.
