Kaufman County, TX – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kaufman County Criminal District Attorney Erleigh Norville Wiley to serve a second term on the Texas Crime Victims’ Institute Advisory Council. This advisory council is charged with conducting an in-depth analysis of the impact of crime on victims, close relatives of deceased victims, guardians of victims, and society.
"It is truly an honor to be selected by the Governor to serve on this distinguished advisory council for such an important cause," said Judge Wiley. "The impact crime has on victims is a subject that must be addressed with each and every incident, and I appreciate that the Governor has recognized my passion in understanding and providing support and assistance to those victims in Kaufman County and the state. As the criminal DA, I am tough on criminals, but I aim to be as equally compassionate to the crime victims."
