Earle A. Chiles Research Institute, a division of Providence Cancer Institute in the Robert W. Franz Cancer Center, is currently conducting more than 140 research studies, including clinical trials of targeted therapies and novel immunotherapy approaches.
Breakthrough radiotherapy for pancreatic cancer
Providence Cancer Institute is the first facility in the Pacific Northwest to offer MRI-guided radiation therapy for patients with pancreatic cancer and other malignancies. This breakthrough treatment is delivered by state-of-the-art MR-Linac technology, which provides real-time visualization of the treatment field. A new phase II study will evaluate clinical outcomes of patients receiving MR-Linac therapy for pancreatic cancer:
