Session Description:
This session will examine the role of the tumor microenvironment in primary breast cancer development to metastatic dissemination and therapeutic resistance. Attendees will hear from leaders in the breast cancer field about tumor-host crosstalk mediated by extracellular vesicles, the role of the immune microenvironment in cancer progression, tumor cell dormancy and its role in therapeutic resistance, and the role of the lymph node tumor microenvironment in the progression of lymph node breast cancer metastases.
