Twinkeling Stars Child Care and Preschool Earns Breastfeeding Friendly Recognition
The Winnebago County Health Department (WCHD) is pleased to announce the Twinkeling Stars Child Care and Preschool has been designated as Breastfeeding Friendly. This designation means that the center has established a supportive breastfeeding environment that includes a private, comfortable area for breastfeeding mothers to nurse or pump, it has adopted policies that support breastfeeding moms and its staff has been trained in how to handle breast milk. Promote healthy families and breastfeeding by becoming a Breastfeeding Champion. WCHD and The Milk Mob are conducting an Outpatient Breastfeeding Champion (OBC) training in Oshkosh this fall!
The Milk Mob Outpatient Breastfeeding Champion Training is a basic, clinically-focused course for any person who is a medical or community breastfeeding supporter. This course provides instruction on how to answer the most common breastfeeding questions that a breastfeeding mother and her family have throughout the course of lactation, into toddlerhood and beyond. The 16-hour OBC course will be held in Oshkosh at Wittman Regional Airport - October 16, 13, 30 and Nov 6 (Mondays) from 8-Noon. Register here.
