Wine Wisdom
When you open a bottle of wine, what do you do (other than drink it, of course)?

Do you pull out that decanter to let it breathe, do you have your aerator on hand to pour it through or do you just get it in the glass ASAP?

There are various thoughts on what is best, and it varies on the varietal and age of the wine. Wine Enthusiast gives us a quick rundown on this, noting that a lot of it has to do with time. There is also a fun thought on the topic from Vine Pair .

On the overall (wine) breathing note, most commonly we consider reds to be the wines that need to get some oxygen after opening the bottle. But, some whites could also use a little more air. Did you learn something new by reading this today? Cheers!
