Our shipment of the latest vintage of Terlano is here, just in time for all your Fall festivities.

Cantina di Terlano, our personal favorite winery for whites, has been producing breathtaking wines in the Italian Alps for decades. It's no wonder they are also our customers' top choice for their house wine and weddings.

You will not find thin whites here, but you will find beautifully balanced, elegant, layered, fresh, mineral-driven, multi-dimensional beauties that will satisfy ANY wine lover.

These wines are indeed the greatest whites in the world: unique and evocative expressions of their terroir, all at our lowest prices in the entire country/state. Prices are a fraction of equivalent quality wines from more known regions worldwide.

Founded in 1893, the Cantina Terlano winery is now one of the leading wine growers' cooperatives in South Tyrol, with a current membership of 143 growers working a total area of 165 hectares. They have long had a strong focus on quality which has attracted praise and recognition in the Italian and international wine markets. In spite of its relatively small size, Cantina Terlano is now well-established in the world of wine.

"...no region in Italy makes more high-quality whites and reds than Alto Adige."

-Vinous 2020 Article

"The classic line offers tremendous value, while the single-vineyard wines and the selections are some of the most unique whites in Italy today. There is not too much else to say, except that these wines are terrific across the board and highly recommended."

2022 Terlano Pinot Bianco (Pinot Blanc)

The highest quality white at this price on the planet!

93 Points - James Suckling:

Crunchy and delicious with dried lemons and mango as well as hints of flint and stone. It’s medium-bodied with lovely fruit and acid balance and a light bitter-lemon note at the end. Long finish.

93 Points - Robert Parker's WA (2021):

"Here's a wine to stock in you fridge for easy access when needed. The Cantina Terlano 2021 Alto Adige Weissburgunder Pinot Bianco Tradition delivers a clean and exceptional reason for us to believe in this grape when planted in this mountainous environment. The wine is redolent of lemon mousse and peach, and there is plenty of salty mineral as well. The mouthfeel is semi-rich with a polished and creamy finish. I could drink this every day." ML (12/8/22)

93 Points - Wine Enthusiast (2021):

"If you are looking to have a different grape in the fridge, grab this Pinot Bianco from Alto Adige. Fresh aromas of green apples and tart cider pears along with fresh white flowers leap out of the glass. The wine highlights mountain rocks and a touch of alpine herbs on the palate followed by a mixture of apples and lemon on the finish. This wine is great with a composed salad or a variety of fish dishes." J.P. (5/2023)

2020 Terlano Vorberg Riserva Pinot Bianco

Most Famous Single-Vineyard Reserve Pinot Blanc

95 Points - Vinous:

The 2020 Pinot Bianco Riserva Vorberg is total class. A whiff of sweet smoke and dusty stone gives way to ginger and crushed yellow apple nuances. It envelopes the palate with rich, opulent fruits that coast along a balancing core of brisk, mineral-tinged acidity. The Riserva Vorberg finishes long and potent, yet youthfully backward, as the senses ache under its concentration and a salty flourish slowly tapers off. There is a huge potential, but it will take time for the 2020 to come fully into focus. Bury your bottles deep."

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast:

"Grown high on the south-facing slopes of Monzoccollo this Pinot Bianco is one of the historic wines of Alto Adige! The warm sun gives this wine aromas of ripe apples, baked lemon and honey. While the cool mountain air provides the wine with cool crisp acidity and lifted floral aromas. The palate shows baked pears with honey, a touch of lemon and pressed wildflowers. The wine finishes with ample acidity showcasing how long this wine can age." Drink Now - 2035+ — Jeff Porter

Since 1893, the winery has made this phenomenal blend: 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Chardonnay, 10% Sauvignon Blanc

93 Points - James Suckling (2021):

"Full, yet subtle nose of crisp pear and candied lemon with delicate herbal notes and a whiff of flint. Impressive substance and textural complexity on the simultaneously generous and precise palate. Spot-on balance of ripeness and freshness at the long, wet-stone finish. A cuvée of pinot bianco, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc with a history going back to 1893. Drink or hold."

93 Points - Robert Parker's WA (2021):

"This is a blend of Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, the three heavy hitters of Alto Adige whites. The Cantina Terlano 2021 Alto Adige Terlaner Cuvée is beautifully silky and textured with flinty mineral, soft orchard fruit and honey. The wine falls gracefully onto the palate with a lightweight but creamy texture. What an amazing deal, and with 230,000 bottles made, it should not be too hard to locate." - Monica Larner (Dec 2022)

2022 Terlano Classico Pinot Grigio

Forget what you think you know about Pinot Grigio and reset your bar with this elegant example. One of the world's finest. Wine Spectator's Top 100 alum.

92 Points - James Suckling (2021 v.):

92 Points - Robert Parker's WA (2021 v.):

"Always a delightful wine to drink, the well-priced Cantina Terlano 2021 Alto Adige Pinot Grigio Tradition reveals a light gold color and characteristic aromas of lemon peel, dried hay, wild sage and crushed limestone. Only seeing stainless steel, the wine hits that intersection between crisp fruit and minerality. This is the secret of its massive drinking appeal. This versatile wine (with 170,000 bottles released) could pair with fish tacos, Thai salads, Mediterranean fish, and the list goes on." - Monica Larner (Dec 2022)

2022 Terlano Winkl Sauvignon Blanc

Since 1956, the winery has made this phenomenal Suavignon Blanc from the oldest vineyards.

93 Points - Robert Parker's WA (2021 vintage):

"Full, yet subtle nose of crisp pear and candied lemon with delicate herbal notes and a whiff of flint. Impressive Always a great buy, the Cantina Terlano 2021 Alto Adige Terlano Sauvignon Winkl is fragrant and floral with punchy aromas that pop from the glass. You definitely know that you are in front of a Sauvignon Blanc, but unlike some of the New Wold expressions that focus on green notes of kiwi and tomato leaf, this wine has a very crystalline or white personality with limestone, lychee and crisp pear. If you love this grape, you get your money's worth here. The wine is made mostly in stainless steel, with a tiny 20% that goes into barrel for eight months. Best after 2022."

92 Points - Wine Spectator:

"A mouthwatering white, with vivacious acidity buoying flavors of pineapple, pink grapefruit granita and hints of fresh tarragon, fleur de sel and almond blossoms. Well-knit and stylish, with the flavor range persisting on the long finish. Drink now through 2028."

The palate mirrors the nose with lychee, rose, wild mint and exotic spices working in harmony so no one outweighs the others. Drink now–2035.

93 Points, Best Wines of 2022 - Decanter:

A steely, defined and spicy Gewürztraminer, showing abundant rose, passion fruit and hints of other tropical fruit. Expressive and distinctive, with a trademark hint of bitterness on the finish. Nominated by Susan Hulme MW. (Drink between 2023-2035)

92 Points - James Suckling:

"What an enticing wine this is, thanks to the aromas of ripe mangosteen and star fruit with a touch of jasmine. Stunning balance on the palate for the quite challenging vintage, the ripeness and grapefruit freshness exactly matched, the finish so clean and straight.
