Each year during Homecoming Week, Breck recognizes a group of our graduates through our Outstanding Alumni Awards. The Distinguished Alumni award is bestowed upon someone with outstanding achievements within their respective field. Our new Excellence in the Arts awards will look at both emerging artists and those who have dedicated their career to a field within the arts. Our Alumni of the Year award is given to the person, or people, who have provided incredible service to Breck in that given year. And finally, each fall new members are inducted into the Breck Athletic Hall of Fame.

You can learn more about these awards on our alumni website, and you can nominate your peers for any of the aforementioned awards below. Please help us to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our alumni and recognize the outstanding work of our community.
At Breck, our Episcopal Identity calls us to be stalwart in our commitment to supporting each other, especially when faced with the new challenges of today. Because tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Breck education, the school relies on Annual Giving. Annual Giving supports the school’s challenging and innovative academic programs, faculty professional development, arts, athletics, extra-curricular activities, as well as campus-wide upgrades to keep our students together.

If you are grateful for the experience you received at Breck, we ask you to make an Annual Fund gift and show your commitment to preparing the next generation of students for lives of intellectual curiosity, self-knowledge, and social responsibility. We are holding our Give Week Phonathon on April 21, and hope you will "answer the call" and support Breck! If you'd like to make a gift ahead of Give Week 2022, and skip the call from your dedicated alumni who will be connecting with you and your peers, you can Support Breck here: Support Breck Give Week 2022. We rely on the generosity of our alumni to sustain the high level of excellence that is afforded to each student who attends Breck.
In June, Breck will be launching an Alumni Survey and we hope all of you will participate. This survey has three core goals: 

  1. Learn more about how alumni want to connect with Breck
  2. Get feedback from our alumni on how the school is doing
  3. Allow for greater connections between Breck alumni by updating old contact info

Hopefully this survey will make Breck a more responsive place, and allow us to better connect you all to one another. But if we are going to be successful in pulling this off, we need your help! Please watch for an email about the Alumni Survey in June 2022.
Class Reps get free swag!
If you are interested in supporting this vital project, we would love to enlist your help as a class rep. We need people to spread the word, to collect updated contact info from classmates, and to help us ensure this reaches as many Breck graduates as possible.

As I am sure you have noticed, the entire theme of this newsletter is ways for you to get involved with Breck. The Alumni Association has opportunities for you to volunteer your time, to support financially, to give feedback, to represent your class, and to recognize the teachers who shaped your experience at Breck. As if that was not enough, please read down for even more ways to get engaged! Also, if you have a new idea for how you would like to engage with the school, I would love to hear from you!

Retiring Teachers
This spring, we have some truly inspirational educators who are retiring after many amazing years of service. Out of the retirees, the following are those who have been here for over 20 years!
