Dear Breck Alumni,
At Breck, we often speak of the strength of our community, and when I connect with alumni, the enduring friendships that began here are a common thread (shoutout to the Classes of 1964 and 1970 for recently sharing their meaningful stories).
Each June, Commencement marks a powerful rite of passage for Breck. Members of the senior class walk into the Chapel of the Holy Spirit as students and emerge as alumni. That moment—surrounded by their Breck community of classmates, teachers, families, and friends—never fails to move me. It’s more than a ceremony; it’s a deeply shared tradition for the students who experience it and for all the Breck alumni who came before them.
As you reflect on your own graduation—whether it took place on the Como Campus, River Road Campus, or Golden Valley Campus—consider the people who stood beside you. Who celebrated with you? Who helped shape your Breck experience? That sense of connection continues today in you and your fellow alumni. Reach out to a former teacher, classmate, or parent and let them know how much their contribution to your community means to you.
We are proud to welcome the Class of 2025 into the Breck Alumni Community. If you know a recent graduate, I encourage you to reach out and congratulate them, just as someone once did for you.
Read on for alumni stories, Homecoming 2025 details, and RSVP information for reunion celebrations for classes ending in 0 and 5. We look forward to connecting with you throughout the year.
As always, filled with Breck Mustang pride,
Brian Sobas
Director of Alumni Engagement

Alumni Commencement Speaker Leslie Hayes '14
Thank you to Leslie Hayes, who shared the Alumni Welcome to the Breck Class of 2025!
"As I look into this crowd of graduates, I see the future leaders of the world. I see the changemakers, healers, strategists, and overall good humans that our society so desperately needs. As you solidify the futures that I have already envisioned and prayed for each of you, remember that your Breck community, whatever that may look like, welcomes you with open arms and cannot wait to hear of the amazing feats you accomplish."
