In This Edition: Message from the Editor
We apologize for this January edition being slightly late - but there's so much good stuff here! Kathy St. Martin has some opinions about SSAs, there's some interesting stallion news, and an article on stallion conformation photos - yes or no?

With the start of breeding season well underway, stallion promotions are in full swing! Don't wait to sign your special stallion up for next month's newsletter!
Kathy St. Martin's Opinion Piece on Stallion Service Auctions
In a new article on WarmbloodBreeding.com, Kathy St. Martin, of Avalon Equine, expresses some well-thought-out opinions about Stallion Service Auctions: much that's good, but also how, from a stallion owner's viewpoint, they could be improved.

The article was clearly needed, judging from the responses to a post on Facebook. Most - but not all - were extremely positive, and continued her theme with some excellent comments and suggestions for SSAs. We're thrilled that this article inspired such very thoughtful and insightful commentary!

Kathy stands more than a dozen stallions, and has for years generously donated breedings to multiple SSAs.

Recent Foundation Sires Featured on WarmbloodStallionsNA.com
We've been posting Foundation Fridays on WarmbloodStallionsNA.com since 2018. Every other Friday we feature a foundation sire - one who has been influential in the development of warmblood breeds. We're pulling from the incredible archive of The Horse Magazine, published by Chris Hector of Australia. Thank you, Chris, for permission to draw on your expertise!

In each of these articles, we introduce a Foundation Sire, and we also include links to stallions with his bloodlines who are on WarmbloodStallionsNA.com.
