Time change reminder: Turn your clocks back by one hour this coming weekend!
The first Sunday in November means turning our clocks back by one hour as Daylight Time ends for another year. At 2 a.m. on Sunday morning - or before you go to bed on Saturday night - turn your clocks back by one hour to enjoy an extra 60 minutes of sleep! Of course, this is also the time of year when it gets dark really early, so gone are the days of light into the evening hours. But don't worry - the winter solstice arrives December 21, which means the days will start getting longer again after that date!

Have you ever found a hidden decorated rock? People leave them in public to bring cheer to others!
I've found a few of these decorated rocks around town before. Honestly, they always bring a smile to my face. The hobby exists in many places in the world but is particularly active in my hometown of Moncton NB with a Facebook group of 5,000 members!
Article excerpt: "Lynn Kelly spent part of her Thanksgiving in Moncton's Centennial Park enjoying her new retirement hobby.
The Moncton woman hid some brightly painted Halloween-themed rocks in random spots in the west-end park in hopes they'd bring a smile to someone's face.
Within a few minutes, one of the rocks was gone. Kelly said she may or may not find out where it ended up, but that's part of the fun for her.
'Not all people will... tell you that they found them - some do, some don't, some keep them, some re-hide them.'
Kelly is part of a Facebook group called Happiness Rocks Moncton. The group has about 5,000 members who paint and hide rocks around the area for the simple pleasure of making someone's day when they find them.
'I've had two posts on that page saying they took them back to France, so that's very interesting,' she said. 'And I had another lady message and said her mother was visiting from Morocco and found one in Centennial Park. I'm like, wow, that's pretty cool.'"
It's a nice way of spreading a bit of cheer! A good news story during difficult times. A different kind of art putting smiles on people's faces!

What's this "6-7" thing all the kids are saying?
If you're around young people for any amount of time, you've likely heard them repeating "6-7" with the hand gestures seen in the GIF accompanying this article.
It's nonsensical. It's ridiculous. Does it mean anything? Apparently not.
Article excerpt: "Not since 69 has a number caused this much disruption.
'6-7,' pronounced 'six-seveeeeen,' is haunting school halls across the country (including South Park Elementary), making it the Gen Alpha nonsense phrase of the moment. Kids are shouting it in classrooms when a teacher turns to page 67, when lunchtime is 6 to 7 minutes away or for no reason at all.
'It’s like a plague - a virus that has taken over these kids’ minds,' said Gabe Dannenbring, a seventh-grade science teacher in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. 'You can’t say any iteration of the numbers 6 or 7 without having at least 15 kids yell, ‘6-7!’'
It’s a joke without a punchline (or a setup, for that matter). 6-7 means nothing, but using it can make a student feel like a member of a bigger, cooler group of their peers.
'It becomes a language game to them that, it would seem, only folks in their group know how to play,' said Gail Fairhurst, a University of Cincinnati professor who teaches leadership communication (and Gen Alpha speak)."
Apparently, it's just something they say to be part of the gang. I suppose that's normal, but it's still ridiculous. Now, get off my lawn!
Read: The "6-7" meme can be annoying. But kids are shouting it for good reason.

You can stop worrying about what to get Grandma for Christmas now! Kim Kardashian has your answer!
Kim Kardashian's line of underwear thongs with fake public hair on the front has been taking the Internet by storm - but did they ever exist? One thing's for sure, if you're thinking of getting one for Grandma for Christmas, you'd better get a raincheck for one or start scouring eBay for resellers.
Article excerpt: "When it comes to publicity stunts, Kim Kardashian may have just outdone herself.
The socialite and reality TV star has raised a few eyebrows with the latest addition to her underwear range, Skims - a barely there thong, lavishly adorned with fake pubic hair.
Dubbed 'the ultimate bush,' the G-string comes in a range of 12 different colors, and sizes from XXS to 4XL.
Visitors to the Skims site are greeted with a grainy image from a 1970s-style game show, in which a white-haired male host gestures to a sign saying 'Does the Carpet Match the Drapes?' In front of him are three women in low-cut strappy tops, each holding a sign with a large question mark over their tight shorts.
Once shoppers click through to the listing itself, they are told: 'With this iconic new panty, your carpet can be whatever color you want it to be.'"
But wait... maybe you're too late to make Grandma's dream come true this Christmas because the thongs appear to be sold out. Maybe it's for the best. Not sure if Grandma's heart could take all that excitement on Christmas morning.
And another thing... gross! But Kardashian is laughing all the way to the bank. That family knows one thing: How to make money!

Trivia: Did you know?
If your son arrives home one day and says, "Guess what, Mom and Dad? I'm going to be a campanologist!" No need to panic or be concerned that he's selling drugs or something else nefarious. He'll actually be studying the art and science of bells. Yup, it's a thing.
