It all began September 1980... 36 years ago at USDivers Co. in Santa Ana, CA. After selling my own scuba business I was hired to head-up the company's Repair and Returns department. At that time USDivers HQ was the main location consumers and dealers sent items for repairs. The president of the company
John J. Cronin (PADI Founder) called me to his office and asked me to develop a program to train and certify retailers in equipment repair and to establish repair service centers through-out the USA and in several locations around the world.
As a part of new products development team I helped to usher in the Royal Aqua Lung Regulator, the Impulse Snorkel and the first dive computers at Aqua Lung.
January 1990 I moved my family to Baltimore and began my first road trip as USDivers outside sales manager to Philadelphia and New Jersey. The territory over the years included Virginia, West Virginia, Upstate New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. In the latter years Indiana became new territory for my travels. Working with dealers in these areas and developing their knowledge of the product and loyalty to the brand was my most fulfilling and rewarding job I had with Aqua Lung.
I want to thank each store and all of the staff through the years for their support of my family and I and Aqua Lung. Many of you are more than business associates and are people I am happy to call my friends.
