Rainier Beach Stairway Clean (Cooper & Waters)

On Saturday, there will be a 9:00 AM start time at the corner of Cooper and waters. Community volunteers will 1) cleaning the gutter to stop water from entering the masonry, 2) scrub moss off the steps to prevent slipping hazard and 3) prune back any invading plants that may be trying to take the stairs back for mother nature. On Sunday, join Friends of Mount Baker Town Center, Friends of Cheasty, and other neighbors to do some restoration and clean-up work in the Cheasty greenspace at the base of the Hanford steps that cut through the greenspace. Volunteers will work to the east of the stairs picking up trash, removing invasive plants, and planting native species. Work party will go from 10:00 AM -1:00 PM. Lucile Triangle Clean-up

On Sunday, a team of volunteers from Sephardic Bikur Holim Congregation, Ashreichem Yisreal, and Lucile neighbors will lead a neighborhood clean up of the Lucile Triangle on Sunday, April 26.  Volunteers will gather at 11:00 a.m.
