We are immensely thankful for the community partners who have already generously donated to our Captial Campaign. We are well underway to achieving our goal, but we still need your help! We have raised more than $1.2 million of the total $2.5 million needed from the community so far. This is an exciting milestone, though there is still work to do.

We hope to break ground on our new shelter on Drayton Street in August and we need to have the community’s portion of the cost in place before the County will release substantial Measure H dollars. Check out our website to learn more about the project and to share your questions and suggestions.
Grocery Outlet has been an incredible partner to Bridge to Home. At their ribbon cutting last week, their team presented a $1,000 donation to us and graciously donated food and supplies to our shelter. Their act of kindness made a meaningful difference.

Additionally, through Grocery Outlet's Independence from Hunger Food Drive, customers can show their support, too. When you shop at their store through the end of July, you can make a difference through monetary or food donations. There are three easy ways to get involved:

  1. Give $5 or more in-store or online and you will receive a coupon for $5 off a future purchase of $25 or more.
  2. Purchase a pre-made bag filled with an assortment of groceries and items selected by Bridge to Home and place it in a collection bin at the front of the store.
  3. Donate at check out by telling your cashier you want to make a cash donation and funds will go directly to Bridge to Home.
Everything we do is made possible by the help of our dedicated volunteers. Since the time we hired a volunteer coordinator, we've seen an increase to 22 active shelter volunteers and 12 housing development volunteers! We also now have a volunteer training program in place to ensure our helpers are equipped with the tools and understanding they need.

Additionally, our activities coordinator helped us offer 81 different programs last month, ranging from job training and growth mindset workshops to yoga and art. We've also hosted five special events including a karaoke night, summer kick off, poetry slam, magic show, and patriotic concert.

Whether our volunteers are spearheading a community clean up, donating supplies, preparing dinner, or hosting resource events, their time, talent, and tenacity directly touch the lives of our clients.
If you'd like to support Bridge to Home by fulfilling needs on our wish list, please consider these summer items next time you're at the store! Your donations have a tangible impact to those staying at our shelter by giving clients the support they need to get back on their feet.
