The search for a new senior pastor is over! Pastor Nate Glaze, who has been on staff in various pastoral roles for 18 years, has accepted the call to lead Bridges. We are so excited to welcome Pastor Nate to this new position. He’s creative, passionate, energetic and ready to lead us as we continue to pursue the life adventure of following Jesus and reaching our community for Jesus.
Plans are underway for our installation gathering and time of celebration on Sunday, February 26. Join us at 11 am to celebrate God’s answer to our prayer for our new Senior Pastor. After the gathering, head over to the Gym for lunch and a time to meet Nate and his family.

STEP UP:
Entrusted with the Gospel
Have you ever felt insignificant, weak, or ashamed? Do you struggle to make changes in life? When we feel insignificant, we can lose sight of what matters and how the power of the Gospel can help us change. Paul's second letter to Timothy reminds us that God not only entrusted us with the Gospel, but He also gives us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline that empowers us to press on and overcome the challenges in our faith and life.
February 05: “Guard Up,” 2 Timothy 3:1-9, Nate Glaze
February 12: “Grit Up,” 2 Timothy 3:10-17, Nate Glaze
February 19: “Step Up,” 2 Timothy 4:1-8, Nate Glaze

NEXT SERIES: Begins in March
LESS IS MORE:
A Six-Week Self-Detox
Here in the U.S., Lent is often observed by fasting -- giving up little luxuries like candy, coffee or alcohol, or by abstaining from guilty pleasures such as social media or video games. While there’s nothing wrong with those practices, they are primarily about self-discipline. What if there was something more to our fasts? What if our fasting helped us better appreciate the sacrifices of Jesus? What if, in observance of Lent, we turned our hearts not just away from self, but toward God? During this Lent season, we are planning a six-week self-detox. Each week we will focus on a specific fast to help us purge our lives from over-emphasis on self and turn our focus to the incredible sacrifices Jesus made on his journey to the cross.
