Greetings!

We were both delighted and honored to receive the following letter from the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, informing us that Bridges To Life would be included in their daily prayer for the month of June:

Dear Bridges To Life,

The Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth are grateful for the light your organization brings into the world. Your commitment to serving others, advocating for justice, and uplifting those in need reflects the very heart of God's love at work among us.

This month, your organization has been chosen as one of our prayer intentions. Please know that your ministry and the compassionate work you do deeply inspire us. The world is more hopeful, more merciful, and more radiant because of your presence. We are blessed to walk with you in mission and spirit, trusting that together we help make God's love visible in our world.

Thank you, Sisters of Charity, and all those who pray for Bridges To Life! While we could not fulfill our mission without the financial support of our donors, BTL was created in prayer, and we know firsthand its power.

Waco Regional Coordinator Meredith Schwanke and her team of BTL Volunteers prepared and served over 100 TDCJ* staff last month for TDCJ Staff Appreciation Week! The feast took place at the Woodman Unit in Gatesville, as Meredith reported:

"Afterwards, the Chaplain let us know that Woodman staff members continued to express gratitude about the event. What struck me most was when the Chaplain said that this was the first time the staff had gathered and broke bread together, filling the dining room with laughter and great conversation. The Warden has since recommended the staff continue to eat together this way, rather than in their offices, to keep up the camaraderie. This speaks volumes in showing that we are not only serving the men and women inmates, but the prison staff as well."

Please join us in welcoming Logan Alderson, our new Regional Coordinator in the Waco/Bryan area.

Logan, a crime victim himself, had already felt a calling to ministry before applying for the position. We were also astounded when he shared that his father had graduated from the Bridges To Life program in 2017! Now that Logan has joined BTL, he feels certain that this is where God wants him to be.
