UCSF Medical Students Celebrate First
In-Person Match Day Since 2019
UCSF medical students celebrated their very successful match day together on March 18. The excitement and emotions of this year’s Match Day were heightened because the event at Koret Quad was the first time the entire class reconnected in-person since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. As students learned how and where they will spend the next 3-7 years for their residency, they reflected on their journeys in medical school and what they are looking to give back to their communities.

Join EJE Monthly Meetings: Elevating the Dialogue on Equity and Justice in Health Sciences Education
The Equity and Justice in Education (EJE, pronounced "edge") provides a supportive, welcoming forum to promote and guide scholarship on equity, justice, diversity, and inclusion in health sciences education. The monthly meetings empower educators, education researchers, and learners to use education scholarship to identify bias and unequal power distribution and advance equitable and inclusive solutions in opportunity and achievement across the continuum of health sciences education. Recent topics have included campaigning for anti-racism curriculum changes, experiential learning approaches to address microaggressions, and identity and equity in diagnostic reasoning.

EJE welcomes all UCSF students, staff, and faculty. Meetings are held monthly and alternate between Tuesdays at 2:00-3:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 12:00-1:00 p.m.

For more information and to sign up for announcements, visit the EJE site.
