January 12 - 17, 2021
Thank You, Bridges Family!
Beth and I want to thank all of you for your support, encouragement, and prayers through the confirmation process accumulating in the installation service last Sunday. What a special day for us and for Bridges. We’re anticipating what God will do through all of us in the years to come, and we’re hopeful. As you have already begun, please continue to keep us and Bridges in your prayers. We need them! Together, we can see the Gospel’s influence grow through our community.

- Lead Pastor Dan Stockum

Submit Your Questions About Our Sermons!
Beginning this Sun., Jan. 17, we will have a new way for you to interact with our pastors and their sermons. Follow the link under the sermon video on THIS page to submit a question about the sermon. As several Life Groups use the sermon notes for discussion, a question might arise during your group that you would like to ask the pastor, or you might think of one on your own. We want to hear them! The more questions, the more we know you are interacting with the message, so please, send them our way. Depending on the number of questions we receive, we will vary how often we record responses and make those available to you. Thank you for participating in this way!
Gratitude for Jim Noyes
On Jan. 15, Jim Noyes will be retiring from his position at BCC as our Financial Administrator. We are so thankful for his faithful and fruitful ministry with us over the past nine years. This time of COVID makes it harder to appropriately say goodbye to people, so please join us in thanking him with cards and emails (jim.noyes@connectbcc.org). Let him know he is appreciated and will be missed! And Jim, if you’re reading this, please know that we love you and we’re looking forward to hearing what God has in store for you in the days ahead!
Registration for Kids' Choirs
Our incredible BCC Kids' Choirs are getting ready for the virtual spring semester! Registration for grades 1-8 will be open Jan. 31-Feb. 7. Kids will meet on Zoom with an excellent staff of qualified leaders committed to teaching children spiritual concepts while experiencing and learning music. This spring, our Kids' Choirs will be learning 4-6 songs with narration instead of our traditional musical. For more info about Kids' Choirs, contact Les Schneider in the BCC office (les.schneider@connectbcc.org) or visit connectbcc.org/kidschoir.
New Book Study
Join Pastor Steve for a new virtual book study and discussion group on Monday nights at 7:30PM on Zoom, beginning Feb. 8. Over 9 weeks, the group will read and discuss Something Needs to Change: A Call to Make Your Life Count in a World of Urgent Need by David Platt. We will explore what it means to follow Jesus in a world filled with urgent physical and spiritual need, and emerge with a sense of divine calling and purpose through concrete action steps for getting involved in God's mission. To participate in the group, email Pastor Steve (steve.durand@connectbcc.org) and order or download the book before the study begins.

This Week's Online Message
Let's Build It Again

Message Title: Restarting Right
Speaker: Pastor Dan Stockum
Scripture Focus: Nehemiah 1
All of us are facing some type of restart in 2021. As a church, we’re launching in a new direction after our Lead Pastor transition. As individuals, we see the horizon of returning to in-person life, whether it be work or simply relationships. We are beginning again, and for that, we praise God. But at the same time, we want to restart right. Now is not the time for a misstep. Fortunately for us, God has tucked away timeless wisdom regarding new beginnings in the ancient book of Nehemiah. Numerous modern authors have mined Nehemiah in order to learn how to lead well, particularly through change, and this week, we’ll look at where to begin when we’re beginning again.

If you can't make the noon meeting, a prayer group also meets on Wednesdays at 7:00PM on Zoom. Please use the same Zoom link and passcode as above.
