This is the final week to register for Kamp Kindle, June 23-27, 2:00-5:15pm daily at Bridges! This awesome week is Bible camp meets special interest camp, offering separate tracks for ages 6-11 (kids entering 1st grade through outgoing 5th graders) in basketball, table tennis, cooking, and “Makers” — a combo of art and woodworking. Kamp Kindle aims to encourage, equip, and support young hearts and minds to pursue God and the interests He has placed in them. Click here for info and to register.

THIS WEEK'S MESSAGE

All of us, at some point in our lives, will face circumstances that feel impossible—where we can't see a way forward, we might lose everything, and God may seem distant. What do we do in those moments? And is there any way those moments can help us grow rather than destroy us? This week, we'll study an account from the life of Jehoshaphat, who faced the total collapse of everything that he held dear. Yet, in the midst of his doubt and despair, his turned to God in worship.

NEWS AND EVENTS

A memorial service for Laura Rodolari will be held this Sun., June 22, at 2:00pm in the Bridges Worship Center, followed by a reception in the Family Center. All are welcome to come and honor Laura's life.

According to church tradition, June 29 marks the martyrdom of the Apostle Paul and became known as the Day of the Christian Martyr. Take time this month to reflect and honor the legacy of those who have died for their faith. Let us be moved by the sacrifices of these brothers and sisters in Christ, and let us be encouraged to live faithfully and to stand strong in our own commitment to the Gospel.

Gals of all ages are invited to enjoy a time of artistic expression or exploration on Sun., June 29, 12:15-3:00pm in the Bridges Family Center. Bring a lunch (or come after lunch) and bring your own craft project: knitting, scrapbooking, quilting, jewelry making, card making, painting—whatever you like doing! If you don’t have a craft project, come enjoy the fellowship and be inspired to start a new hobby. Bringing snacks to share is optional. Questions? Students entering 6th grade this fall through outgoing 8th graders are invited to MSM Summer Camp, July 6-11 at Sugar Pine Christian Camp! Register now for a week away to connect with others and grow closer to God. SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

We are putting the final touches on Kamp Kindle, our on-campus day camp for elementary-aged kids, June 23-27. We need your help to make it a success! We are looking for adults and teens to help in all areas—snack, maker’s, cooking, table tennis and registration. Questions? Contact Kathy Spillar.

Partner with MUCH Hope in sharing encouragement and love to children! Donate and help fill 300 backpacks with school supplies to be distributed to students in local homeless shelters and the migrant farm worker community. We’ve seen in years past that a backpack filled with supplies has motivated many kids to go back to school and stay in school. Bring your donations to Bridges by July 9, and help assemble the backpacks on July 11 at 4:00pm at Bridges.

Join MUCH Hope as they serve local homeless at a shelter in San Jose by providing monthly dinners. Lots of help is needed whether it's for 30 minutes or 2 hours! Volunteer to drop off supplies at Bridges, or help cook in the Bridges kitchen on a designated Sunday. For questions, email sujana.panthulu@gmail.com.
