This Week's News
First Fridays
Come gather with your Bridges family at 6:30PM in the Family Center on the first Friday of each month as we celebrate what God has done and prepare our hearts for the month ahead. We will enjoy great fellowship, warm beverages, and some sweet treats. On Dec. 3, we will focus on advent and have a time of worship and singing. This is an inter-generational/age inclusive event! RSVP (not required but appreciated!) to [email protected].
Respite Event (Parents' Day Out) for Foster Parents
Join our next all-church service opportunity! We're partnering with local organization Help One Child to support Bay Area foster families. We will be treating foster and adoptive parents to a couple of kid-free hours while their children are cared for by a volunteer team--that's us! Sign up to help this fun and fantastic service project on Sat., Dec. 4, 11:00AM to 3:00PM (plus a required 45-minute training given at 10:00AM that day). For details on the event and how to volunteer, visit connectbcc.org/serviceopportunities.
Opportunity to Bless Our Staff
The Bridges congregation has been blessed this past year by our staff as they have ministered well in a challenging year. God, again, has been good! A fund has been opened in order to express our appreciation financially. We would encourage you to give to both our General Fund and the Staff Appreciation Fund as you consider your 2021 year-end giving. You can give to both by going to connectbcc.org/give. For staff appreciation, select "Love Offerings” then “Staff Appreciation.”

- Your Elder Team
Volunteer HVAC Project Manager Needed
BCC is looking for a volunteer to be the project manager overseeing the repair of our Heating-AC system in the Worship Center. This role does not require special expertise in these systems. You will need to pick an HVAC contractor to do the work based on the problem statement of the intermittent problem, which the church staff will provide. The church has members with expertise and experience in these systems who will provide technical input when needed. For more info or to volunteer, contact Kelsey Hanggi in the BCC office: [email protected].
Women's Ministry Volunteer Needed
Bridges is looking for a part-time volunteer Director of Women’s Ministries. The position entails working with and coordinating leaders for Bible study, community service and outreach, as well as special events, and involves two staff meetings per month and a flexible schedule. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
Transportation Help Needed
We need your help! We have a family and several individuals who need transportation to church on Sunday mornings. If you are willing to help once or twice a month, please let us know. You can use your own car or our regular-sized church van (no special license required). For more information, contact Pastor Steve: [email protected].
Finance Update as of November 21, 2021
These are our current year-to-date giving figures: Actual is $313,839; budgeted is $365,509; shortfall is $51,670. We are now 14.1% below our General Fund budgeted contributions for the church year, which runs Sept. 1 - Aug. 31.

This Week's Message
Jesus' Most Famous Sermon

Speaker: Pastor Dan Stockum
Message Title: Salt & Light
Scripture Focus: Matthew 5:13-16
In a dark world that lacks goodness, Jesus says “you” are the answer. He commissions us to be salt and light desiring for us to contribute to our communities in specific ways. This week, we’ll study our place in the world, the risks of that mission, and how we will accomplish it.

"YouVersion Bible" is a free app available on most smart phones and mobile devices. Each week, we upload our message notes to YouVersion so you can connect more deeply with the day's teaching. Download the app from Apple's App Store or wherever applications for your device are available.

Pray with Us
Our Bridges family prays together virtually on Wednesdays at noon. We'd love to have you join us, even if you can only get away from other things for five minutes. When we come before God's throne of grace to find mercy and help in our time of need, God hears our prayers and always answers. We invite you to join our prayer time HERE on Zoom every Wednesday at noon. The passcode is: Prayer.

If you can't make the noon meeting, a prayer group also meets on Wednesdays at 7:00PM on Zoom. Please use the same Zoom link and passcode as above.
Bridges Midweek Groups
Many of our Life Groups and ministries are meeting regularly--some virtually using Zoom, and others in person! Click HERE to see our current groups and when and where they meet.
Serve at Bridges
We’d love for each person to find a place to use their God given-gifts within our Bridges family. If you haven’t already, please take a moment to prayerfully consider how God would like you to serve at Bridges, and let us know by filling out this online form: connectbcc.org/serve. If you've already filled out the form, a ministry leader will contact you in the coming weeks to arrange next steps. Thank you for helping build our church!
