Serving the Communities of Bridgewater Township and Raritan Borough
Dear Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District,
As we approach the holiday season, I want to pause and express my gratitude during this special time of year. I hope you and your family are well and can take a moment to focus on what truly matters: our relationships with others in our family and community.
I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the Bridgewater-Raritan community, filled with talented students, dedicated faculty, and supportive families. With nearly 8,000 students in Bridgewater-Raritan, we are not just a school district; we are a community with a collective bond focused on high standards and uplifting everyone who walks through our doors.
While we will always encounter challenges, let’s remember to focus on the good around us and seize opportunities to create a positive impact on others. By supporting our students and each other, we can amplify the benefits of our school district for everyone.
Please take a moment to read the happenings around our district, and please download our App, which will provide you with valuable updates as we enter the winter.

Basilone Complex Rededication Ceremony
On Friday, October 25, at 5 p.m., the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Board of Education hosted a rededication and ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorating the newly renovated John Basilone Memorial Field Complex.
The celebration signaled the completion of phase one of the Basilone Complex renovation project, which is part of the district-wide referendum. Phase one of the project included the replacement of the home bleachers and the renovation of the fieldhouse, parking lot, and pathways.
The ceremony on October 25 culminated with unveiling a new monument dedicated to John Basilone, who hailed from Raritan and was donated to the school district in 2022 by the Disabled Veterans of New Jersey.
This event brought the entire community together to celebrate the rededication of a critical area heavily used for district and youth athletic programs. The district’s investment in this facility will ensure that Basilone Field remains a centerpiece in the community for the next generation.

Middle School Groundbreaking Ceremony
On Tuesday, October 29, the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Board of Education conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for the 6th grade middle school wing. Fences are up, and construction will commence on the facility set for completion in August 2026.
Last August, the Bennett Company, Inc. was awarded the bid to build the Middle School addition for $13,680,000.00. This critical addition will encompass 25,000 square feet and include 18 classrooms, including three science labs.
The addition of this middle school wing is a significant component of the district referendum, resulting in full-day kindergarten and the move of sixth-grade students to the middle school for SY 2026-2027.
