This presentation by Professor Ahmet Icduygu of Koc University analysed the protracted refugee situation and future of Syrian refugees living in Turkey. He sought to address the question of whether Syrian refugees in Turkey are likely to settle permanently by comparing the historical cases of Syrians in Turkey and Afghans in Iran and Pakistan.
