We are pleased to share with you IOM’s latest research outputs and updates, including the US launch of the World Migration Report 2020, which featured Marie McAuliffe, Michael Clemens, Kathleen Newland and Daniel F Runde, the latest Migration Research Series call for abstracts and a World Economic Forum blog by Marie McAuliffe and Adrian Kitimbo debunking myths about migration. This update also includes the latest issue of the International Migration journal, an IOM request for proposals and a link to the final report of the International Metropolis Conference 2019, which was hosted by Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.



US Launch: World Migration Report 2020

 

The US launch of the World Migration Report (WMR) 2020 took place at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington DC on 27 February 2020. Marie McAuliffe, IOM head of research, presented the report. The event also featured panelists Kathleen Newland of the Migration Policy Institute, Michael Clemens of the Center for Global Development and Daniel F Runde of the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

New call for abstracts: Migration Research Series


The latest Migration Research Series (MRS) call for abstracts welcomes submissions on geographies that are under represented/published in migration research. These can be on any migration-related aspects and from any academic disciplines, including history, demography, economics, geography, anthropology or sociology. Click here for further details.
