Late yesterday we learned that Tom Phillips, CEO of Bright MLS, will be leaving his position next month. Tom has led Bright since its creation and was instrumental in bringing 44 associations together to form Bright.
Brian Donnellan, Bright’s Chief Operating Officer, will serve as interim CEO. A skilled executive with years of MLS leadership experience at the former MRIS, Brian will continue the work of building a better MLS for subscribers.
We respect the decision reached by Tom and the Bright board of directors. We’re confident that this change in leadership won’t affect Bright’s accountability to subscribers or the continued implementation of system improvements for Bright MLS.
We have enjoyed a successful working relationship with Brian for many years, and we will work directly with him to reinforce our efforts with the entire Bright management team to ensure that your voices are heard, your concerns are addressed, and the commitment to transparency does not waver during the leadership transition. As we learn additional details, we will share that information with you.
