Last week we told you we were brimming over with excitement about the arrival of Kim Diehl's latest fabric collection and our excitement has only grown over the course of the week. That must be a great sign so let's get right to it.

New Arrival - Quiet Grace

It's an annual tradition, 13 years and counting! Quilters Cupboard favourite designer Kim Diehl kicks every new year off with a brand-new Simple Whatnots Club fabric collection, a feature quilt and 8 new exclusive Simple Whatnots patterns. Once again, Kim has exceeded our expectations and hopefully you'll agree.

Kim Diehl delights with her signature style, combining classic paisley and floral designs with a rich colour palette that includes deep reds, greens, blues, and creams. This 13th Simple Whatnots collection offers timeless beauty and understated elegance. The fabrics will all blend easily with her older fabric collections.

Whether you're just starting your Kim Diehl stash or keeping with your annual tradition of adding to your stash, we have ways for you to add precious new 'treasures' to your stash, AND secure access to the exclusive Simple Whatnots Club 13 patterns as well!

Fabric Bundles Available - with Simple Whatnots Club 13 Patterns Included!

With the purchase of a 32-piece fat quarter bundle, you will receive all EIGHT Simple Whatnots Club 13 patterns. With the purchase of the fat eighth bundle, you will receive FOUR Simple Whatnots Club patterns (Jam Packed, Sing for Your Supper, Talk of the Town and Zigging and Zagging)

Fabric Precuts Available

Quiet Grace is also available as 42-piece Layer Cakes, Charm Packs and Jelly Rolls. These precuts do not contain any Simple Whatnots patterns.

Simple Whatnots Club 13 Exclusive Projects

One of the best things about Kim Diehl's patterns is that they are small projects that can be finished in a reasonable amount of time. This means they are less likely to end up in the unfinished project pile!

Exclusive Patterns - Cannot be Sold Separately

As per guidelines set by Henry Glass, Simple Whatnots patterns cannot be sold separately. They can only be included with the sale of kits or bundled with the purchase of a set amount of fabric.

Kits Available!

We make it easy for you to bring home Kim's projects so that when you're ready for a Kim Diehl sew day, the kits are ready for you. Each Simple Whatnots Club 13 kit includes the exclusive pattern and fabric to finish the top of each project, including the binding. Backing is not included unless noted otherwise.

This year we have kits available for Sing for Your Supper (24.5" x 24.5"), Zigging and Zagging (10.5" x 10.5") as well as Fall Haul (26.5" x 26.5").

We also couldn't resist making up kits for Stash Hash (24.5" x 24.5") and Talk of the Town (15.5" x 25.5").

Brimming Over Lap Quilt

Kim's feature quilt for the Quiet Grace collection is simply stunning.

Kim Diehl's cup is brimming over with love, and she's chosen to share the love with you as part of the Quiet Grace collection from Henry Glass. The Brimming Over pattern is written block of the month style to keep you on track.

While this project involves appliqué, there is a suggested modification for the appliqué blocks available on the Henry Glass website. (Click Here)

We're also brimming over with excitement now that we've had a chance to add some new classes to the calendar. We hope to add more classes in the weeks ahead.

Tami would like to extend a special invitation to anyone who falls in love with Brimming Over quilt but thinks it might be a bit too much to take on.

While Brimming Over is a big project, Tami is the queen of organization, and this will be key for project success. She will start you off organized and keep you organized every step of the way. Don't let the appliqué scare you away. Tami loves appliqué and will share all her tips with you.

More Kit Inspiration!

We were inspired to revisit some of our favourite Kim Diehl patterns from previous Simple Whatnots Clubs and reimagine them in Quiet Grace fabrics.

While the pictures above were taken with older fabrics the Quiet Grace versions will be just as stunning. That is the beauty of Kim Diehl fabrics. Not only do fabrics blend together from one collection to the next but the patterns do also.

A new Kim Diehl collection gives us the opportunity to recreate our favourite Tri-Star table runner in new fabrics. While the Tri-Star pattern works up well in many different fabrics, the Kim Diehl versions are always the most popular, year over year!
