When Katie first arrived at Third Street Alliance with her two young children, she was exhausted and unsure what her future would hold. Fleeing a situation of domestic violence, Katie was determined to find safety and security for her children and herself.

Like most families arriving at our doors, Katie didn't have access to safe housing, a strong support system, or quality childcare and education for her kids, but because of Third Street Alliance, she didn't need to.

Through our bridge program, Katie and her family were immediately settled into safe and comfortable housing.

Katie's children were immediately integrated into our early childhood education and wraparound programming at The Learning Center, allowing them to play and socialize with other children.

With reliable childcare in place, strong support from our staff, and professional guidance from our case managers, Katie was empowered to begin a job search and make a fresh start as a Certified Medical Assistant with a major local health network.
