“Even though bulbs are pretty adaptable, we can evaluate a planting area to see what grows the best. We know how all the different pieces work together. We’re used to planning gardens,” he says.
Even though bulbs are well-known to be an easy addition to any bed, JT stresses the importance of knowing how deeply each type of bulb should be planted and notes that it can be a difficult physical task for some property owners. And while daffodils grow and spread over many years, tulip bulbs weaken with age, JT explains. He advises tulip lovers to dig up older bulbs and replace them after about two years.
