In this training, participants develop a foundational understanding of the purpose, structure and elements of an Afternoon Meeting in out-of-school time. We focus on the power of dedicated community-building time and explicitly teaching social and emotional skills in an Afternoon Meeting. Participants practice each component, learn to utilize resources and share best practices across teams to effectively deliver the Afternoon Meeting in out-of-school time contexts.

FASA Conference 2022 - Navigating the Future

October 5-7, 2022

We are pleased to announce that we are combining the Florida Afterschool Network (FAN) Public Policy Forum and the Florida Afterschool Alliance (FASA) Conference. This event will bring together hundreds of participants from various afterschool programs. Parents, students, teachers, school and district administrators, 21st CCLC sub-recipients, and those working in or with community-based organizations will be gathering in October for this conference.

Fall Family Fun Fest on October 22, 2022

Guests of all ages will fall in love with science at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium Fall Family Fun Fest! This event features many grab-n-go activities, including fall-themed crafts, live science demonstrations, outdoor entertainment, FREE mini-golf, a petting zoo and much more! Explore our new Dinosaur Explorer exhibit!

Assistant Director at Waters Edge Elementary Afterschool Program Uses Prime Time Scholarships to Earn Degree and Certifications 

In 2013, Martinique (Marti) Jamison entered the out-of-school time field with an immediate passion for her work. The experience was beyond gratifying, as she realized the impact she could have by building relationships with and being a positive role model for the youth she served.


Her desire to learn and continue growing her role in youth development led Marti to begin taking classes outlined for her through the Prime Time’s Credit Pathway at Palm Beach State College.

Afterschool Directors Leave Prime Time Gathering with Smiles and Desire to Implement Lessons Learned

Every year Prime Time Palm Beach County calls afterschool directors who are participating in the Palm Beach County Quality Improvement System to a gathering to network, learn and engage in interactive activities they can use back at their programs. More than 100 afterschool directors joined in-person on Friday, September 2, 2022, for the first time in three years at the Royal Palm Beach Cultural Center.


As attendees joined the event, they were split up into groups and given direction on where to begin their morning journey through five rooms designed to mirror afterschool clubs

Prime Time also offers OST orientation both in live and self-paced online formats:

Self-paced online session: This online, self-guided session will take you through modules to complete the orientation in approximately 15 minutes. This option allows you to start immediately.

Live online session: This online orientation is led by our registry coach and uses the ZOOM platform. You will complete the orientation and application as well as obtain assistance with the process.
