Jefferson Island Rip Van Winkle Gardens Presents:
"Pumpkin Fest"
NEW IBERIA, La. (September 25, 2017) -- Jefferson Island Rip Van Winkle Gardens is partnering with the Iberia Parish Relay for Life “Rip Van Winkle Team” to host a two weekend activity in which families can come and enjoy free games in a pumpkin patch, Oct. 21-22 and 28-29 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

There will also be a Halloween costume contest and pumpkin patch photos for $10. Pumpkins will be sold for families to continue celebrating the fall fun at home.

Soft drinks will be available to purchase. Families that have lost loved ones to cancer can purchase and decorate "Luminary Bags" with the names of their loved ones, which will then be displayed at the Relay For Life event in April in remembrance.

The event will be held on the grounds of the Jefferson Island Joseph Jefferson Home (5505 Rip Van Winkle Rd.). To enter Pumpkin Fest there is a $5 charge for anyone 8 years and older. This entrance fee does not include the Joseph Jefferson home tour. Tickets will be sold at the gift shop on the event day.
