Springtime in Heaven...
This is the season that has blessed our country with every moment of the day drenched in beauty. Morning to evening, you can find nature's own commercial playing and the Llano Chamber of Commerce doesn't have to work so hard as long as people still want to spend time listening to the crickets & the birds while watching the sun perform miracles, hike along an Indian trail alongside critters, take drives on country roads splashed with wildflowers, lounge during longer days on the Llano River, listen to good old country music and this month... even enjoy a few thousand pounds of boiled CRAWFISH!  Just follow those bluebonnets, 'cuz they are all in Llano County this year!

Here in Llano, we serve the best of all of it... If you haven't made plans yet to head this way for the day or the weekend - you may want to right now, because our little town does fill up for April and May.    Download the Llano, TX app , check us out on Facebook , and visit us online ; but be sure to friend us in person!   The Llano Visitor Center has the best coffee, local maps, clean restrooms and kind smiles in town! Stop to see Kim & Briley for shopping, lodging & restaurant directions, information and advice.  The center is open Monday - Friday 9 to 5 & Saturdays 10 to 4 and is located at 100 Train Station Drive on the north side of the Llano Bridge; look for the train depot, next to the red caboose.

While you are here, please enjoy the beautiful native gardens kept by our Llano County Master Gardeners and peruse the sculptures within, donated by local artists.

First Weekend in April

If you've never been, just ask your friends... it's the best time on a river in the Hill Country you could ask for!   The LLANO CRAWFISH OPEN always delivers a great boot-scootin', golf-swingin', calf-ropin' time - music, action, relaxing, roping, FOOD & BEER, playtime for the kiddos and great Hill Country vendors. We've got it all!  There's even a 5K & a motorcycle run.  Be sure to check us out and make plans now.

What began more than a quarter of a century ago as the brainstorm of local residents and a group of hunters from Beaumont, is now quite the Cajun festival right here in beautiful Texas Hill Country on the Llano River!  This year Jake Hooker plays on Friday night and Kyle Park headlines on Saturday!  Be sure to get your wristbands and join us for the fun at Robinson Park.  You can call the Llano Chamber for details at 325-247-5354.
