DID YOU KNOW that a study from BMJ Nutrition, Prevention & Health found widespread nutrient deficiencies in subjects with blood sugar disorders, with vitamin D being most common (60.45%), followed by magnesium (41.95%) and vitamin B12 (28.72%).
Vitamin D deficiency significantly impairs insulin function and sensitivity, while increasing the risk of complications like diabetic retinopathy, kidney disease, and foot ulcers.
Magnesium deficiency creates a vicious cycle among diabetics - low intake increases diabetes risk, while diabetes increases magnesium loss through urination, leading to poorer glycemic control.
Metformin, the most prescribed diabetes medication, depletes vitamin B12 levels by interfering with B12 absorption, which can lead to nerve damage, numbness, and fatigue.

Steve: While I do not always agree with some of the World Health Organization's policies and statements, I applaud them for recently bringing attention to the worldwide crisis that are fungal infections, specifically candida.
If you are unaware what candida is, it is the overgrowth of fungus, mostly from molds and yeasts. It causes oral and vaginal thrush, as well as severe gastrointestinal distress, among other deleterious symptoms.
The World Health Organization (WHO) published its first-ever reports addressing the absence of sufficient medicines and diagnostics for invasive fungal diseases, which cause about 3.8 million deaths annually. The report also states that pathogenic fungi are growing increasingly resistant to current treatments. Most importantly, the WHO purports that clinicians worldwide do not consider fungal infections in their diagnostic workups as frequently as they should. For example, many with chronic sinusitis are cultured for bacterial or viral infection, not fungal, even though fungal sinusitis is fairly common.
We have been working with clients with fungal infections for decades. It is the most difficult pathogen to minimize or eradicate, but it can be done with diligent client compliance.
