PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT
Employability Skills

Our 2021 cohort has officially completed their first year with us! They have already received over 400 hours of life skills classes, created rock-solid support networks and are busily preparing to start higher education full-time.

Check out our family timeline

One of the steps in this big transition is taking our employability skills class over the summer, which covers topics including:
  • Career exploration
  • Developing a variety of work skills
  • Job searching, resume writing, interview training and more.

Like all of our classes, each week revolves around a different essential question such as, “How do I responsibly use information and communication to positively contribute to my world?”. Answering these means that adults leave the class with more than just skills, but a framework for planning their professional lives.
Community Comes to Life with Volunteers

Boy o’ boy do we LOVE our community- both near and far!

Summer is always a hive of volunteer activity on our campus and this month we even had some special groups of middle school and high school aged youth from Reach Beyond Mission help us tackle a HUGE list of facility improvements.

A whopping 52 volunteers came from all across the country to learn more about serving others in different communities. They gave a combined total of 161 volunteer hours to help us beautify our campus and get apartments ready for the next group of families.

We LOVE volunteer groups. If you have a group of friends, coworkers or neighbors and would like to volunteer together, let us know!

Email Sunny Holmes to schedule your group today.
