Repairing homes and rebuilding lives since 1988.

Greetings!

National Rebuilding Day (NRD) is right around the corner—Saturday, April 25—and the momentum is building!

This year, we’re excited to bring together our incredible faith, community, and corporate partners and four dedicated RT Express volunteer teams who will be out in the field making a difference. In total, 16 teams will complete critical repairs at homes and nonprofit housing facilities across Arlington, Fairfax, and Falls Church—improving safety, restoring dignity, and strengthening our community.

In the lead-up to the big day, we’ve been connecting volunteers with the homeowners and organizations they’ll be supporting and making sure every team is prepared for a meaningful, rewarding experience. On NRD, it’s always inspiring to travel from site to site and see the energy, teamwork, and care our volunteers bring as they transform homes and lives in real time.

And while National Rebuilding Day is a powerful moment, it’s just one part of a much bigger story.

Our RT Express teams and other partners continue this important work year round—tackling critical repairs and helping neighbors live in safer, healthier homes all year long.

I’m continually inspired by the impact we’re making together—and especially by the heartfelt notes and gratitude we receive from the homeowners we serve. Thank you for being part of this work. Let’s keep showing up and making a difference—together!

Thank you for being a partner in safe and healthy homes.

Team Leader Profile - Don Booth

From navigating global conflicts to navigating home repair projects, Don Booth (pictured at left with President Obama in 2018) has spent a lifetime solving complex challenges and helping people thrive. After a distinguished career in the U.S. Foreign Service—including ambassador roles and high-stakes diplomatic missions around the world—Don has brought that same dedication and steady leadership to Rebuilding Together, where his impact is felt right here at home.

Today, as a volunteer team leader, Don channels decades of experience into making homes safer for neighbors in need—proving that service doesn’t end at retirement, it simply takes on new meaning. His story is a powerful reminder that the skills we build over a lifetime can come together in unexpected ways to create lasting change.
