Road to Re-opening
Hello Members and Friends,

I hope this email finds you well as we all continue to make our way through these uncharted waters of the novel Coronavirus.

As the conversation in Pennsylvania moves from shut downs to re-openings, albeit more slowly than we had hoped, we continue to be committed to providing you with the most timely, relevant and helpful information we possibly can.

I am honored to be serving as the Chair of the Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals this year. This has afforded me the opportunity to be part of state-wide meetings with the PA Chamber, local Chamber executives, and many other industry and association leaders. We have and will continue to discuss ways to safely help your business and our communities return to work, and hopefully to return our region and our commonwealth to prosperity.

To that end, I strongly recommend you review the PA Chamber's Bringing Pennsylvania Back platform. The logo below provides a direct link to this special website that includes resources and guidelines for safely reopening businesses across many industries, as well as information about welcoming back employees, and the opportunity to make your voice heard as the commonwealth begins to return to business, though not quite as usual...just yet. CLICK HERE TO READ BRINGING PA BACK NEWS RELEASE

While the Chamber office remains closed to the public, our team continues working remotely to assist you in any way possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us! Thank you to Team Chamber: Sarah Ferrari, Delrae Hagstrom, Bob Octavio, our Board of Directors, committees and volunteers for your outstanding work through this challenging time.

In the coming days, we'll be publishing a guide: Restoring Bedford County...Together containing resources to assist businesses in returning to work, including cleaning and disinfecting guidelines, HR recommendations, marketing suggestions including printable signs, and a wealth of links to provide you with as much additional info as possible to help you get back to business. Look for that publication via email and on our website by the end of this week.

Thank you to all of those who have continued to work through this crisis - health care professionals, first responders, grocery and essential retail stores, restaurants, manufacturing, distribution, trucking, education, agriculture and more.

And thank you to all of you who have soldiered through this incredibly difficult situation with care for your teams, compassion for those in need in our community, support for our business community...and hope for the future when we can all live, work, play and prosper... together again!

We continue to wish the very best of health and safety for you, your families
and your businesses, we and look forward to seeing you soon!

-- Kellie

SBA Now Accepting New EIDL Applications for Ag Only
PPP, EIDL Apps to be Processed on First-Come, First-Served Basis
The Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program, and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) have been replenished to provide assistance to small businesses.

Update: The SBA is processing EIDL loan applications that were already filed (prior to the previous depletion of funds) on a first-come, first-serve basis.

When (and if) they have processed the applications already in cue, the application portal will open to new applications (except for farms/ag who can apply now.)

We will monitor this situation and provide updates as they become available . If you already have an application filed under the EIDL program, updates may be available through a regional SBA office:

CONTACT INFO - SBA Regional Offices
Harrisburg Office: (717) 782-3840
Pittsburgh Office: (412) 395-6560

Reminder: PPP applications are filed through local lenders (banks, credit unions.) These are to be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis so if you plan to file an application, contact your local lender ASAP, as these funds are expected to again run out, but are still available at the tome of publication. If you have already filed with a bank (prior to the closing of the application process earlier this month) you may want to check back to be sure that your application is being filed if it was not already.
