"Bringing The Grotto to You" Series

We will continue to share a piece of The Grotto with you each day until Masses resume and our gardens open. We hope this feature brings you joy.

Please share our emails with friends and family. Help spread the word that The Grotto is here, and looking forward to the glorious day when we can reopen our gates to all.

"Here Light Shines"

Fr. Don Siple, OSM, Rector of The Grotto, recently spoke those words when describing our beautiful sanctuary.

In today's installment of "Bringing The Grotto to You," we bring you a collection of photos from around The Grotto, inspired by those three simple words.

We thank the numerous photographers who shared their photos with us.

We pray that The Grotto is a beacon of light in your life, especially in dark times.

A Prayer for Your Light to Shine

All-powerful and ever-living God,
shine with the light of your radiance
on a people who live in the shadow of fear and death.
Let the dawn from on high break upon us;
your Son our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer for God's Light

Lord,
let me be still and at peace,
just for a few moments.
In the busy-ness of this day,
filled as it is with so many cares,
doubts, and fears,
Let me be attentive to where I have been,
where I am standing,
and where I am headed.
Above all, let me see,
with the purity of Your eternal Light,
where you have been present in my life today.
And make me a reflection
of that same divine Light
as I serve the many needs
of my sisters and brothers,
who might be struggling in any way.
Amen.

Prayer to Walk in the Light

Father all-powerful and Lord of Love,
let your radiant,
eternal light dawn in our lives,
that we may walk in the sureness of your law
with your Wisdom to guide us always.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son, who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer to Live in the Light

Lord, true light and source of all light,
listen to our prayer this day.
Turn our thoughts to what is holy
and away from all fear,
and may we ever live
in the light of your love.
We ask this through
our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

A Prayer for Light in Our Hearts

Prayer for Light in our Hearts
God, our Father, hear our prayer
and let the radiance of your love
scatter the gloom of our hearts.
The light of heaven's love has restored us to life.
Free us from the desires that belong to darkness.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer For the Radiance of Your Light

Lord,
as a new day dawns,
send the radiance of your light
to shine in our hearts.
Make us true to your teaching;
keep us free from error and sin.
We ask this through
our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer For True Light

All powerful and ever-living God,
splendor of true light,
and never-ending day,
let the radiance of your coming
banish from our minds
the darkness of sin
We ask this through
our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer to be Filled With Holy Light

Lord,
as daylight fills the sky,
fill us with your holy light.
May our lives mirror our love for you
whose wisdom has brought us into being,
and whose care guides us on our way.
We ask this through
our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer To Follow The Light

God our Savior,
help us to follow the light
and live the truth.
In you, we have been born again
as sons and daughters of light.
May we be constant witnesses
of your compassionate Love
before all the world.
Grant this through
our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prayer to Our All-Powerful God

All-powerful and ever-living God,
shine with the light of your radiance
on a people who live in the shadow
of fear of illness and contagion.

through your son,
our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
