A Place of Sanctuary
Bringing The Grotto to You
Daily Spiritual Reflection

A Triduum of Prayer for the Feast of St. Peregrine
Patron Saint of Cancer Patients and the Sick

Day Two:  St. Peregrine, Gentle Disciple of Jesus

Today we remember the goodness of God who gave us life in Jesus. St. Peregrine was a faithful disciple of Jesus and became, like his Master, gentle and humble in heart.

Prayer

In your goodness, Lord,
and through the intercession of St. Peregrine,
grant me a gentle heart, the fruit of the Spirit,
so that, like Jesus,
who was insulted but did not retaliate with insults,
I may overcome evil by doing good offense by forgiving
and fear with faith.
He who lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Amen.
Fr. Don Siple, OSM, Rector of The Grotto

Bringing The Grotto to You

We will continue to share a piece of The Grotto with you each day until Masses resume and our gardens open. We hope this feature brings you joy.

Please share our emails with friends and family. Help spread the word that The Grotto is here, and looking forward to the glorious day when we can reopen our gates.
Day 48: Take a Closer Look
Taking time to see the detail

Every visit to The Grotto can lead to a new discovery. The Grotto is truly a gallery in the woods. From the shrines to the statues to the amazing flowers and trees, every glance is something new.

We encourage everyone to take some time to stop now and then and look at the extraordinary detail in some of the art and architecture, and to celebrate the presence of God in nature.
