A Place of Sanctuary
Bringing The Grotto to You
Daily Spiritual Reflection

Today, the Servite Order celebrates the feast of Mary, Mother and Mediatrix of Grace.

Join us in prayer today:

Holy Mary, mother and guide, pray for me today.

Attentive Virgin of the Annunciation help me to discover the plan of God for my life.

Queen of mercy, woman of great compassion protect my family, lift up the oppressed, console the afflicted, and assist the needy.

Mother and disciple of the crucified Christ sustain me in the trials of life, comfort me in my suffering and sickness, be close to me in the last hour.

Glorious Virgin assumed into heaven, first fruit of salvation accompany me in my daily journey to a new heaven and a new earth, where there will be no more weeping, pain or tiredness, but eternal peace and joy with our heavenly Father.

Amen.

A Prayer for a New Perspective

Almighty and ever-loving God,

I offer myself to you this day: my thoughts, words, and actions. Use them to share the joy of your salvation.

I so often lose sight of you amid the hectic rhythm of my daily life. This time of self-quarantine and social distancing have given me pause.

Within this quiet, simplified routine I see you at every turn: I see your love and mercy in the eyes of my spouse and children; and I see your power in the robust greenery and flowers springing forth outdoors. May I continue hear your voice more clearly in the silence of my heart.

Lord, although I feel things are upended around me, I am grateful. This experience has given me a new perspective. Seeing things in a new way really has enriched my faith and my family.

Help me to seek you, in the many unique people, situations, and perspectives that I encounter today and every day.

I humbly ask this through Jesus Christ My Lord and Brother.

Amen.
