Soup and Salad Luncheon at Ball ECC:
SOJ will be hosting its first luncheon for the Ball staff on Friday, November 1. This is a parent conference day so it will be easy for
teachers to get in and have an enjoyable lunch.
A sign up sheet will be on the resource table or you can contact Grace Mueller with the items you want to donate.
Needed:
- Soups (in a crock pot to keep it warm): We need a variety of soups. A few need to be for the Gluten-free and Vegan folks.
- Crackers and/or bread
- Boxes of salad
- We also need door prize items - gift cards, plants, or anything you see that’s cool. Teachers like most anything.
- Volunteers to stay and help at the luncheon.

Watoto Project:
TLU's annual student-led project raises money to provide goats to orphans of Tanzania.

Laundry and Shower Ministry:
Spirit of Joy is looking for a point person to help launch our Laundry and Show Ministry at La Casita.
We're hoping to offer this twice a month, with two people on-site each time. Days/Times have yet to be determined.
The coordinator doesn't need to be on hand each time (or at all). We won't be able to start this ministry until we have a point person!
Email Pastor Megan for more details.

Salvation Army Kettle Campaign:
It's almost time to RING the BELLS for the Salvation Army! Spirit of Joy has always been awesome about supporting this important outreach endeavor for our community. Let’s do it again!
We will be ringing at the Walmart Home and Pharmacy Doors both days. Sign-up sheets will be on the resource table at the back of the church.
Please note: The first four shifts are one hour shifts. The final four shifts are two hours.
Contact Jennifer Ehlers for more information.

Geronimo Creek Cleanup Day:
The Fall Stream Cleanup on Saturday, October 19, was a great success for the health of a valuable water resource of this area.
96 volunteers contributed almost 1000 hours to clean up the areas that lead to the creek. Since the project started in 2013, over 36,000 pounds of debris has been removed from the watershed!
Spirit of Joy volunteers have helped in this project since its inception. Back then we didn't have a place of our own to maintain; now we can spread the "Joy" to our home and to other areas of creation.
Thanks to all that participated in any way!
