HOA Updates
If you do not have access to a computer, we have the Welcome Email printed and the number for Brio on the printed form. All violations, DRC's, and sign-ups can be resolved and reported through the gateway. However, if you do not have access to a computer, you can contact Laurette at Ljohston@pmpmanange.com.
HOA Updates:
When swimming in the pool, please make the job easier for our pool man to clean the pool by exiting the pool or moving to the opposite end. He needs to have clearance when vacuuming, and cleaning the water for all to enjoy!

The Gate at the entrance to the Green Springs Golf Course is put there in agreement with golfers only. No walking groups or dog walking is allowed on the golf course. Please abide by the rules of the Green Springs Golf Course.

It is great to see so many residents come out to the Board meetings. These meetings are open to the homeowners to listen and find out the latest of what is happening with the HOA. As a reminder, Board meetings are for the Board to discuss various ongoings within the community. Homeowners are asked to keep their comments and questions until the Open Forum portion of the meeting. We appreciate everyone's help in facilitating a time efficient meeting.

This perfect combination of cocoa, milk, and sugar has been celebrated for thousands of years and has graced the tables of kings, presidents, celebrities and, of course, your grandma. National Choose Your Chocolate Day corresponds with the birthday of one of chocolate’s modern visionaries, a woman who no doubt belongs in the pantheon of great chocolatiers, Mary See of See’s Candies...

Health Tips With Keith
Mobility: Bodies, Necks and Backs by Keith Benson CSCS
Last month I talked about free weight exercises, the “move it or lose it” of function and control. Mobility is the “use it or it gets stiff” part of improving function.
Mobility is the ability to move throughout the day with minimal stiffness and little difficulty. You struggle with mobility when your neck and knees are stiff and your shoulders and back ache. Doing exercises to improve mobility can help decrease soreness and improve activity levels as you move more easily (yes mobility also helps arthritis). Treat tightness and lack of mobility as an emergency – not rushing to the emergency room – but doing something consistently every day such as stretching and range of motion to overcome tightness.
First, mobility exercises improve blood flow. Improving blood flow is “in with the good out with the bad” of body parts at the cellular level. Second, mobility exercises stimulate synovial fluid in joints. Synovial fluid is the lubrication that helps joints move smoothly. It’s like oiling a squeaky door hinge. Third, mobility allows greater range of motion of all body parts so you don’t hit the end ranges and cause increasing irritation throughout the day.
Doing mobility exercises can prevent many nagging irritations from becoming pain and injury. I knew a woman in her 50s who had a very stiff neck which I thought was due to surgery. A couple of years later I noticed she was moving her neck easily. When I asked, she said she had not had surgery and had not realized her neck had gotten so stiff. Upon taking an exercise class she realized she couldn’t turn her head to the side. After doing mobility exercises her neck felt much better and she was able to move more freely.
YOU. MUST. MOVE!
Come to my September 22 presentation Mobility: Bodies, Necks and Backs at the Brio Escape.

MR. FOODIE: ROOMS WITH NO VIEW (OR DECOR)
By Andy Margles
Considering the spectacular natural beauty of the area in which we live, it’s surprising how few of the local restaurateurs feature the view, or even seem to value the décor of their eateries. But, as my grandpa used to say, “You can’t eat the atmosphere”. Here, then, are three of my favorite local eateries, with great food, but zero atmosphere. Either close your eyes, or do takeout, but you should try these eateries ASAP! You can thank me later.
