In the Championship Flight, Jack Jaynes (98) won the flight. The only other Champ Flight member registered had to withdraw due to a family emergency. Jack wins his first ever Golfweek Amateur Tour tournament. Congratulations!.
In A-Flight, Brian LaCombe (84) won by three strokes over Esdras Garcia-Caban (87). Coming in third was Mike Cuff (88) with three tied for fourth, Scott Facello, Sean Burke, and Ben Devine (89).
In B-Flight, Jimmy Bryant, Dallas-Fort Worth (88) won by one stroke of DC Metro players Stephen Okoba, Jerry Arnold, and Bobbie Boykin (89). Fredy Carreon (91) finished in the money at 5th place three strokes back.
In C-Flight, Hayden Gafford (86) won by 6 strokes over Stu Hopkins (92). Thomas Lemense (93), 3rd place, finished 7 strokes back, while Don Stackhouse (96), 4th place, finished 10 strokes back. Shawn Doyle (98) and Nick Taylor (98), finished tied for 5th place 12 strokes back. Shawn won the tiebreaker to finish in the money.
In D-Flight, Jay Thompson (100), Tyler Patterson (100), and DC Metro Senior Amateur Tour Director, David Phillips (100) finished in a three way tie for 1st place. Jay Thompson won a three-hole Sudden Playoff on the 9th Hole. During the 1st Playoff Hole, all three players finished tied for bogey as Jay and Tyler hit one putts to card bogey while David's par putt for the win rimmed out. On the 2nd Playoff Hole, Jay and Tyler carded bogeys and David a double bogey, eliminating him the playoff competition. On the 3rd Playoff Hole, Jay sank a bogey putt to win by one stroke over Tyler.
Finishing out the top 5, Thomson Sawyer (101), DC Metro Co-Director and newcomer Carl Wright (101) finished 1 stroke back. Tom finished 4th due to the tiebreaker over Carl, 5th rounding out the money winners.
