The Affordable Connectivity Program provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.


Brooke Hachey is the Affordable Connectivity Coordinator at Sunrise County Economic Council. 


Brooke can assist Washington County residents at no cost with:

  • one-on-one ACP enrollment assistance
  • on-site ACP awareness events at your school, business or organization
  • in-person or virtual ACP informational sessions

BEAD: THREE CHALLENGES FOR 2024

Gigi Sohn, one of the nation’s leading public advocates for open, affordable and democratic communications networks, was the keynote speaker at the 5th-Annual(ish) Maine Broadband Summit held on November 15.


Ms. Sohn addressed three challenges that all states, including Maine, will face and suggested how states can meet these challenges to ensure that this once-in-a-lifetime funding secures fast, affordable and reliable broadband Internet access for every US household.
