Dear Neighbors and Friends,

As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day, the Village of Broadview reminds all residents and visitors that fireworks of any kind are strictly prohibited within Village limits.

Per Village Ordinance 15-12:

✅ It is unlawful to sell, store, possess, discharge, or set off fireworks in the Village.

✅ No person may sell or offer fireworks for sale at any time.

✅ Public fireworks displays require a special permit and must be supervised by the Broadview Fire Department.

🚫 Violations of these ordinances will be enforced, and each citation can carry fines of up to $800.

Let’s celebrate safely and responsibly! Enjoy the holiday with family, friends, and the many legal and safe ways to show your patriotism.

Please also be mindful of our veterans who may suffer from loud noises and PTSD, as well as our pets who can be frightened or distressed by fireworks.

Thank you for helping us keep Broadview safe this 4th of July!

Mayor Katrina Thompson
