Hop Into Showtunes Sing Along
April 2020
NEW IBERIA, La. --- Hop into another Showtunes Sing Along and help Sing into Spring! Envision da Berry (501 c3 non-profit) returns with their ever-popular free event, Showtunes Sing Along in April.

The live piano karaoke extravaganza will happen at A Spot for Tea, an Acadian Tea Room (108 E. Main St.) on Saturday, April 18 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., and will continue to reoccur monthly.

Everyone is invited to attend this event, especially those who enjoy group singing their favorites from Broadway musicals, such as Wicked, Hamilton, Dear Evan Hanson and Les Miserable. Donations are accepted to hear your special requests out of their songbook collection. All donations benefit Envision da Berry, which funds community projects in and around New Iberia.

A Spot for Tea will be offering a full menu including many teas, wines, beers, and tasty local food to help get you in the mood for singing. A live pianist on the keyboard will accompany the audience and lyrics will be projected on a screen to help everyone follow along.

During the first half of the evening from 6:30 - 8 p.m., the crowd will enjoy regular requests and classic Broadway favorites. Then, in the second half of the evening, from 8:15 - 9:30 p.m., the music will edge toward more modern musicals and standards.
