This Sunday's Sermon...
Conflict navigation is part of growing up.  From first cry to last breath, the drama of the human story shapes and conditions us. The groanings of our minds, bodies and spirits alert us to the tension.  There will come moments when the stakes are higher than most.  Ideologies are called into question.  The loss of power and privilege are possible.  Faith, security, and status quo are jostled.  The way we sense and enter into conflict reveals our strengths and weaknesses when everything is on the line.
Contagious Love Daily Devotionals... heart_vector.jpg
For the next few weeks, Broadway's minister and lay leaders will be sending out a little love through daily devotionals!  You can find them on our  website,, on our  Facebook Page, or through our Constant Contact emails.  If you are receiving our weekly e-news updates, you should be receiving the devotionals!
Finding Ways Stay Connected...
Attention Broadway Families!!
Be A Part of the Flat Jesus Challenge...
The creative minds of our Children's Ministry (Aimee and Callie!) have put together a fun family activity to wrap up "spring break!"  Your family is invited to join the "Flat Jesus Challenge!"   All you'll need to do is  ready to color Flat Jesus page, print it out and then let the kids have fun making the image their own.  Once the precious artwork has been completed, snap a photo of your child with Flat Jesus and share it on the  Children's Ministry Facebook Page . (Please note this is a private page - contact  Aimee for an invitation to join.)
Thanks to Cason and Ryland for sharing their art with us!
Do You Zoom?
Several Broadway groups have found new ways to continue meeting during this time of "shelter in place" in Columbia.  The Healing Racial Divides book study group (meets on Thursday) will begin using a video meeting app called  Zoom. Youth Group has also used Zoom to gather over the web.   During our regular Tuesday morning staff meeting, several Broadway members "zoomed" in for the meeting!  We are all finding ways to stay safe AND stay connected - share your ideas with  us!
Time to Activate Your Realm Account!.
If you are receiving these e-mails, then you are a savvy internet user!  But many of you have not established your Realm account, which is Broadway's on-line portal that will allow you to access contact info for other Broadway members, allow you to easily send a group email to your Sunday School class or small group and make secure online donations.
If you would like assistance setting up your Realm account, please contact  Church Administrator Ingrid Luckenbill.

Habitat Sale Moves to June 6
Look on the bright side..more time to spring clean and gather those Habitat donations!
The Habitat Sale has been moved from April 4 to Saturday, June 6, in response to the COVID 19 national emergency As the situation continues, the Habitat planning team will monitor recommended guidelines from local, state and national authorities.  Our ultimate concern is the safety of our volunteers and shoppers; and we pray for the healing of those affected by the disease, those medical professionals who are caring for the ill and searching for a solution, and for our nation and our world.
Church Meetings and Activities
As we all figure out this new reality together, the health and safety of our members, visitors and staff are of primary importance.  For now, we will continue with our Virtual Worship opportunities on Wednesday afternoons at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m.  All church activities and meetings are postponed as we do our part to comply with the City's recent "shelter in place" directive.
If you have questions, please contact the office at 445.5312 or  by email.
