Romans 10:11-17
From Mark....
Witness is a word that brings up interesting connotations that differ from person to person. From the legal use in the courtroom to slogan's used on billboards to honor championship teams: "We are all witnesses!" it's fair to say the word comes with some weight. In the religious world, the word gets wrapped up in images of pressure and coercion as if the task witnessing is a covert operation to win some war. For many burned by the idea, the thought    of "sharing one's faith" has gone into the witness protection program in hopes that one can fly under the radar, perhaps never to be seen again. What if, however, the church could  redeem the word by imagining the concept as with-ness. I have not simply seen something. I have not only come to know something, I have been accompanied by the very presence of God. When we discover the Divine is with us in relationship, it becomes much easier for us to share that kind of faith, that kind of withness with others. How beautiful are the feet of those                 who bear withness to the world?

Youth Make A Difference Day Is November 9
Want to help make a difference in another Broadway member's life?
Saturday, November 9 , is Broadway's annual Youth Make A Difference Day. Our work crews will be out and about helping members of our congregation who may need some extra help with household projects.  We will assist with yard work, window cleaning, garage clean-up, or just about anything else.
Youth Make a Difference Day is NOT intended to be a fundraiser. It is, rather, an opportunity for us to serve others. Please reply or let Taby Lane or Nick Larson  know if you can bring your helping hands (and arms and legs)! We will meet at Broadway at 9:00 and after crews finish their work at the sites we'll be joining with the Property Work day to lend our hands to help out with our Building and needs!  We are providing lunch immediately following our service around 12 noon.
Please wear your work clothes, bring your rake and gloves.  Youth in grades 6-12, we need your help! Parent's, we can always use more help and drivers!
