We would like to extend a warm invitation to our upcoming Worship service, which will be held on April 7, 2024. We will explore the theme of "The Macedonian Miracle" based on 2 Corinthians 8:1-7. We believe it will be a powerful time of reflection, growth, and community as we come together to explore how we can be good stewards of all God has given us.
We hope you will join us for this incredible week and look forward to seeing you there.

Volunteer Opportunity: Join Broadway Church as the Sacred Spaces Coordinator
Broadway is seeking a volunteer to be the Sacred Spaces Coordinator. This person and a team of dedicated and talented workers already in place will guide decorating the church’s worship spaces throughout the church year. The church has various banners, paraments, and other materials that beautify and give meaning to our worship spaces and experiences.
If this possibility appeals to you, contact Deb Carr (debcarr73@gmail.com), Worship Committee Chair, or Pastor David Shirey (dshirey@broadwaychristian.net).

Sign up for Broadway Cafés
for Reimagined Worship Services
April 9 (Traditional focus),
6 – 7:15 p.m.
April 10 (Contemporary focus),
6 – 7:15 p.m.
In a unanimous vote on Feb. 23, the board approved a motion to plan and initiate two reimagined services inspired by traditional and contemporary worship and our current unified service. The proposal calls for “our taking the time to plan services we will look forward to with anticipation and enthusiasm. The specifics of the services (time, order of worship, music, leadership, etc.) will be solicited in a World Café format (one for the new traditional service and one for the contemporary), during which members will be invited to offer their thoughts, hopes, and desires for the respective services by sharing aspects of each worship style that enables and enriches their encounter with God.
To secure your spot at the Broadway Cafés for Reimagined Worship Services, please RSVP below. You can also call or email the church office at (573) 445-5312 or bcchurch@broadwaychristian.net or simply sign up at the Engage Table on Sunday mornings. We look forward to your active participation in shaping our worship services.

New Day Broadway! is our 2024-2025 Stewardship Campaign Theme. New pastoral leadership, new staff, newly reimagined worship services, and a new and right spirit permeate our congregation. The generosity our pledges represent to the 2024-2025 budget will undergird this new day’s ministries.
We’ve asked members of Broadway to tell us what Broadway means to them and why they gladly support our congregation with their financial offerings.
This week, Ken and Linda Askren share their story of how Broadway has become an integral part of their lives.
| |
|
As Linda and I drove over from Boonville on a Sunday morning, we always rushed to make it to Church on time. When it was just us, we could slide in right as the service began. But something changed in our lives and our relationship to Broadway. Our grandson Mason, then, 5 years old, out of the blue, asked if he could go to church with us. We were elated and thus motivated to get him there on time. As he became more familiar and comfortable with the church service, he looked forward to the children's moment and communion. As ushers and greeters, Mason assists us in our responsibilities. This led to his asking for his own name tag, which Ingrid graciously provided. Even more rewarding was his request to attend Sunday School. When he received his Bible for graduating from pre-school into kindergarten, we challenged his parents to read him a story at least once a week. They are, and as he grows in his faith, we know, and he will discover, that Broadway will give its heart to him, expand his Biblical understanding, and guide him to reach out to his community in Christian love and charity. This is the "New Broadway" for Linda and me, which is one "special" reason we financially support Broadway.
Thank you,
Ken & Linda Askren
