Final Sunday for VBS!

This Sunday you’ll have the opportunity to hear from our own intergenerational Broadway missionaries who recently traveled to Guatemala. Together, they helped build TWO houses for families in need, sharing their time, talents, energy, and hearts along the way.
Our missionaries will help lead worship and share stories and reflections from their time in Guatemala. Come hear about the people they met, the work they accomplished, and the ways this experience reminded them of what it means to be the church beyond our walls.
Mission Trip Sunday is a chance to celebrate the Broad Reach of Broadway and the many ways our congregation shares our Broad Hearts and Broad Minds with our neighbors near and far.

Bring Your Change to Be the Change
This Sunday's Noisy Offering will benefit The Quorus, an organization that is near and dear to the hearts of many in our Broadway community.
A special thank-you to Melanie Karrick for choosing The Quorus as the recipient of this month’s offering. Melanie selected the organization after winning this opportunity as a prize at our Annual Meeting.
We invite everyone to bring your change, cash, or check and help us make some joyful noise for The Quorus! Every gift, large or small, makes a difference and reminds us of the ways we can care for and support our community.

Fan Sunday Update
We are glad to share an updated final report from Fan Sunday! Thanks to the generosity of our Broadway community, we collected 21 fans and $933 for the Voluntary Action Center.
The $933 will provide 62 additional fans, bringing our grand total to 83 fans for neighbors in our community who need a little extra relief from the summer heat.
A huge thank-you to everyone who donated a fan, made a financial gift, or helped spread the word. Your generosity will make a real difference for our neighbors.
And a special thank-you to everyone who helped make Fan Sunday such a success! Thank you too to Amanda Roye, pictured with Don Harter, for all your help in raising funds and fans for VAC.

Happiness is Handbells
Do you enjoy the beautiful sounds of handbells in worship at Broadway? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be part of the group making that music?
Chancel Bells is looking for new members! Come join a welcoming group that enjoys making music, learning together, and sharing the joy of handbell music in worship. Previous music-reading experience is helpful, but not required. What matters most is a willingness to learn!
Whether you’ve rung handbells before or have always been curious to give it a try, this is a great opportunity to have fun, make new friends, share your gifts, and help fill our worship with music.
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 6:00–7:00 p.m.
For more information or to sign up, contact Nancy Dreier at njdreier@gmail.com. Come ring with us!

Woodhaven Looking for Volunteers
Woodhaven has been in the Columbia community since 1964. They were first on a campus by Nifong Park serving children. In the 1990’s they moved off campus to individual homes to be part of the community of Columbia. The individuals, now adults, continue to be served by Woodhaven.
Some of the homes are looking for individuals or groups to come and help them with their landscaping, pulling weeds, planting flowers, helping them to make their home look great. By using volunteers this will help their funds go further to support the individuals served by not having to pay land scapers to come do the work. If you or your group would like to be a volunteer, please contact Jeff Kitch at 573-875-6181 or jkitch@woodhaventeam.org.

Building Safety & Access Reminder
As part of Broadway's commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment, our governing board implemented an enhanced keypad and keycard access system in August 2025. To help protect our congregation, guests, staff, and community partners, all exterior doors remain locked except during worship services, weddings, and funerals.
We ask everyone to support this effort by not propping doors open or requesting exceptions to the policy. All Broadway members are welcome to obtain a keycard by contacting the church office, signing a keycard agreement, and accepting the responsibilities of keycard access. Ministry teams and regularly scheduled groups may also be assigned a building access PIN.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure Broadway remains a safe, welcoming, and caring place for everyone.
