Board Proposes Exciting New Changes for Broadway Worship

Please read the motion for Broadway’s Worship that will be presented to the Board for a vote on February 27, 2024.

The motion is followed by a proposal that includes the background that led to the formulation of the motion and the rationale for it.

Does the sanctuary seem crowded on Sunday Morning?

Report of the Qualitative Review Team by Lynelle Phillips, Chair of the Qualitative Review Team

Join us in shaping the future of our church's worship experience. Under Pastor David's leadership, we're exploring new ways of worship and need your input. We invite you to participate in World Café discussions and share your thoughts and ideas. Your voice matters, and we believe that together, we can create a worship experience that is both meaningful and relevant to our community.

We will share a proposal for moving forward at the next BCC Board meeting on February 27th at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend.

View the QRT’s PowerPoint presentation to the Board here.

Lenten Vespers and Kids' Yoga will be on Feb 28, Mar 6, 13, and 20 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

Come and join your church family for mid-week rest and resilience. We will start with the 'rest' portion in the Loft from 5:30 to 6 pm. During this time, we will be engaged in contemplative, guided prayer. After that, we will move to the Fellowship Hall for a shared meal, followed by a Broadway member's testimony on how they experienced resilience through adversity. Kids can also participate in the event by joining the cinema room at 5:30 pm. They will be learning about rest and resilience through movement.

Get Involved with Your Community! Sign Up to Volunteer at our Congregational Meeting and Easter Brunch

There is a saying that the best friends are made in the kitchen. I know I have the strongest attachment to members with whom I have served in various capacities over the past many years. To that end, there are TWO opportunities to work with and get to know your fellow members.

1. Sunday, March 10, is our annual Congregational Meeting and chili luncheon. We need lots of help to pull this off. Click here to sign up.

2. Easter Sunday, March 31 - brunch from 8:00 to 10:30. Much help is needed. There is also a need to do a group food prep on Saturday morning, March 30. Click here to sign up.

For questions or to sign up without the link, please call Steve Westgate at 573-268-5978 or email at westgsj@gmail.com.

Broadway’s Affirming LGBTQIA Persons and Families Action Team seeks more members.

The mission of this action team is to find ways for Broadway to be more in and affirming to everyone in action and the word. If you are passionate about this work, please contact Jenny Lybeck-Brown at lybeckbrown@hotmail.com. Meetings are typically once a quarter; all levels of knowledge and experience are welcome - the only requirement is an open heart.

Missions & Outreach

Would you like to serve on a mission trip?

Well, MOM is those who are interested in potential opportunities. Participate in a Blitz Build for the recovery of Mayfield KY the week of June 10 and a trip to Guatemala with Enlace sometime from Aug-Nov. There are no definite plans for either at this point, but if you are interested in going, please contact Jim Granneman in person or email grannemanjim@gmail.com phone 573-823-4409.
