What does the vineyard have to teach us about grace, belonging, and the way we see one another?

This Sunday, we’ll gather around Jesus’ parable of the workers in the vineyard and explore a story that invites us to look again at who belongs, what is fair, and how generously God shares grace.

Come as you are. Bring your questions, your stories, and your whole self.

We’d love to have you with us for worship this Sunday! Come find your place in the vineyard.

Following a meeting held during the first week of August and subsequent action, we are providing an update on the Christian Life Center (CLC) gym renovation project and share upcoming opportunities for our Congregation to learn more, ask questions, and participate in the conversation about the future of this space.

The Importance of Communication — Upcoming Meeting

We recognize the importance of communication throughout this process. In that spirit, we are pleased to announce an upcoming town hall meeting, which will be held in the CLC on:

Technology Changes and Worship Guide Updates

As technology continues to change, so do the software systems and tools we use to communicate, plan, and share information with our congregation. Some recent software changes and shifts in technology availability are requiring us to make adjustments to the way our Worship Guides are delivered and shared.

We know that changes in technology can sometimes feel frustrating or confusing, especially when a system or process that has worked well suddenly changes. Our goal is to find a system that works well for our congregation, is accessible, and allows us to continue sharing worship information in a consistent and meaningful way.

As we make this transition, please be patient with us and with one another. There may be a few bumps along the way as we learn a new system and work through what works best. We are committed to keeping you informed as changes are made and will do our best to make the transition as easy as possible.

Most importantly, please be in prayer with us during this transition. Pray for wisdom, patience, flexibility, and for the technology and systems we need to support the life and ministry of our church.

Thank you for your grace, your patience, and your understanding as we navigate these changes together. We are grateful for a congregation that continues to show up, adapt, and make space for one another as we worship and serve together.

Engaging and Serving

Seasoned Spirits Tours and Luncheon

We were honored to hear the story of Tom Bass, a man born into slavery January 1859 in Boone County, Missouri. Bass became internationally known as a premier saddle horse trainer and a dazzling equestrian showman.

It was a packed room to hear this story presented by Bro. John Rajpa an accomplished storyteller from Kansas City, MO.

Save the date for the next Seasoned Spirits meeting October 12 in the Fellowship Hall.

Forty-six Seasoned Spirits went on a charter bus trip this week to the Missouri towns of Jamesport and Hamilton, Mo. Jamesport is the largest Old Order Amish community west of the Mississippi River. A tour guide led them through the community, and they learned much about the Amish lifestyle and tenets.

After the tour, they enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Gingerich Dutch Pantry, a Mennonite restaurant in Jamesport. The group then traveled to Hamilton, which is also known as Quilt Town USA. There they toured the 3-story Missouri Quilt Museum, shopped at some of Hamilton’s many quilting stores, and also visited the JC Penney Hometown Museum. It was a busy day!

Cheer on Team Broadway This Sunday!

O Holy Lights is BACK December 3, 4 & 5 at Broadway Christian Church and this year, we’re making a little more merry.
